In our country a large number of national parks and wildlife sanctuaries have been established by government to conserve and protect wildlife. A national park is an area which is established by law to conserve wildlife. Whereas, a sanctuary is an area where killing or capturing of any species of wild animal is prohibited by law. About 83 national parks and 447 wildlife sanctuaries have been established in India by government to conserve and protect wildlife.
